A great little piece. Excellent for visits to the river in warm weather.
All my items were as expected although I haven’t used them more. The winter os approaching here in the northern hemisphere. 🤪
Alright, swimwear lovers, let’s talk about keeping your fabulous Sheila May swimwear looking as fresh as the day you got it. We’ve poured our hearts (and some pretty fancy materials) into these pieces, but how you care for them is key.
Follow these tips and tricks to keep your swimwear in tip-top shape.
Give your swimmers a quick wash in the shower with you after your swim!
Hand wash in warm water. Machine wash occasionally, using a wash bag & gentle spin
NO soaking, bleaching, rubbing, wringing, ironing or tumble drying!
Keep your Sheila’s OUT of heavily chlorinated pools and spas. We do not recommend use in spas.
Dry your swimwear in the shade, to keep the colours nice and vibrant.
Sunscreen, fake tan, lotions & makeup can stain. Apply carefully & wash marks off pronto.
Cement, timber, rocks, and other rough surfaces may cause pilling.
Hot springs and magnesium therarpy baths can damage fabric.
Treat them right and they’ll love you back, swim after swim.
Sustainability is important to us. That’s why we have selected a beautifully thick and supportive European swimwear fabric that is made from discarded, recycled fishing nets!
Fabric is 78% recycled nylon / 22% Lycra. It offers UV protection and is soft and breathable! In short...it's divine!
A note about chlorine:
Our swim fabric is designed to handle regular pool use and performs beautifully in the water. However, some heavily chlorinated pools - particularly public pools or hotel spas can occasionally cause fading over time. Because chlorine levels can vary, we’re unable to guarantee complete colourfastness in every pool environment.
